Quick Question on 3.818

I have ndcruz's 3.818 V1 that I modded for color. Today I was driving around with it to make sure everything works right but I noticed that it is pratically blind on X and K band. If I remember right it's these older models that go easily out of tune. It seems like Ka is fine and from what I know that is normal for it to still be good. Let me know if my memory is serving me right or if my mind is gone.

My 3.812 was blind to X and K when I first got it. Sent it in for a tune up and it was to business as usual.

What? I changed from Brentwood Police to Metro (Nashville) Police. You know. The laser nazis that you got a scatter save off of a while back.

Since they're almost all PL3 now I have to drive no more than 10 over since I am defenseless without a jammer.

So it happens. I suggested to send it in for a tune up but seeing as his only threats are Ka band I don't know if that would be a good idea becasue all that would happen is that it would get chatty. I'll use it for a few more days to see ka sensitivity and it has been affected at all.

I think X and K drift of tune quicker than Ka because they cover a much narrower frequency range than Ka (33GHz to 36GHz) but don't quote me on that.

That's correct. Ka band has probably drifted as well, but it still detects police Ka bands, because they are not that close to the edge of the Ka band.
