Constant rear X band falsing

living in the great state of Ohio, I can not disable X band... it appears that the v1 is constantly detecting (x band) my cellphone. any tips or tricks anyone can provide? Does anyone else have this problem?

I have noticed that a few people were worried about happya$$'s video of his v1 laser alert constantly going off to the sun with his 3.872 revision. I can let you know that mine does not do this. (although mine is just below a sun tint)

Mine never used to false to the sun or ANYTHING other than door openers, etc. What kind of phone do you have because that is bizarre! Have you tried putitng the phone (or the detector) in different orientations in relation to the other object to see if the arrows change alert direction to always point to the phone?

Samsung alias w/ the Verizon network to be exact. I have put the phone up to the rear antenna, and the strength goes up about 1/4 the way, and back down to one LED when I pull it away.

However ill put the phone in front of the v1, and the rear will still go off. I turn the phone off, and I have no issues.

this is curious , your phone may have been trown out of frequency and it may transmiting on a wrong frequency , .

I'll have to do some research but I can see how this can suck, try another phone of the same brand and manufacturer and if it doesn't set it off I would send the phone back for service or get a new one.

If it was in the range of the X band frequencies, wouldnt it set off my other two detectors as well?

Ill see if my wifes phone does the same thing.

My V1 always seems to have false x alerts from the rear, I never even thought of the phone maybe causing it! I'll have to experiment when it happens again.

This quite interesting to say the least. If it is still falsing the rear from the front, my guess is it might be emitting a harmonic of X that happens to get misinterpreted by the v1 only when picked up by the rear horn. Both horns are different dimensions, so the front one apparently is not affected by this phenomena and doesn't report anything. That would also probably explain why other detectors are not set off as well, their horns aren't of the exact dimensions of the rear horn on the v1 so they stay silent. This may just be a completely freak occurrence. It might even go so far as that even just the revision of v1 you have is affected, others may not be, what version of V1 do you currently have?
