Pre pop V1.....Am I going to be disappointed?

I have a V1 (3.864) already and love it. Well a while back I remember hearing some of the guys raving about their pre pop versions and one of them that stuck out was the 3.813. I just found one and bought it. I am waiting for it to be shipped but can't wait to do a comparison. Maybe someone with a pre pop (3.813 or so) V1 can chime in and tell me what I am in for and if it is still thought of as a great version. If you have both, which do you like better. I remember seeing a thread a while back but had trouble finding it. Thanks.

I have a 3.813 and it is actually slightly less sensitive than my 3.826 when I run them together. Now, I will tell you that neither one has had a tune up since new.(4 or 5 years now)

I would highly recommend sending that unit in for a tune-up(spec. check) as soon as you get it.

Nothing really special other than you won't have any "J"ustBe alert feature commonly known as "J" or junk alerts. The pre POP units won't suppress a real threat unlike the POP versions as others have complained. When you get yours, you may need to have it tuned up since they get way out of tune specially X and K band. As far as being disappointed, I don't think you will.

My buddy has an out of tune 3.813, almost tempted to trade him my 3.872
