Default Interesting encounter between 9500ix and V1

See my Signature for V1 settings.

I had the 9500ix in highway mode with GPS off (most sensitive).

I was in the suburbs in a residential area.

I'm coming up to a T in the road maybe 200 ft from T.

Both detectors are runing (I have one way on the left visor and and the other way on the right) I see no evidence of interference and I've seen others say the same between these two as long as they don't "see" each other. I have tested one at time too to verify they are behaving. Seperate circuit too. They both seem to be behaving nicely.

Anyway I LEO drives by probably at 35MPH ish on the road up coming up to. This a perfect T (90 degrees).

9500ix pops up with with Ka 35. something exactly as he drives by and then goes away.

    V1 stayed dead quiet !!

Most of the time V1 alerts first or more often.

    But I was little surpised.

Maybe the 9500ix caught a reflection the V1 never got. Sure would love to repeat that a few times.

    Any thoughts.

The detectors are interfering with each other. That's my thought.

That or the V1 missed it because of the not so hot off axis 35.5 detection.

The Radar was probably pointing 90 but the Valentine One and 9500ix were point straight at it.

Not another car in sight 9500ix came on exactly as he crossed the T and went silent right after. It saw that LEO.

Generally V1 is doing better, no doubt. But I was just surprised see it.

V1 was in small l mode and 9500ix in H mode.

There are two forms of "off axis".

LEO not pointing at V1 (I call this a weak signal, how deep/sensitive V1's "cone" is)
V1 not pointing at LEO (I call this off axis, how wide V1's "cone" is)

    Which you referring to?

This was V1 pointing straight at LEO with LEO pointing exactly sideways.

Weak detection of 35.5 Ka would certainly effect "Off Axis".

Correct, I've seen that, that is Off Axis.

This was not, and not what GOL tested, hoping they tested both at 2009.

V1 was pointing straight at LEO !!!

They are two very different situations.

I agree though it's lack of detecting it may be one and the same (i.e. they have to be pointing at each other to get detected).

Not good though, I see Ka 35.5 all the time.
