    Default Just bought a stealthone kit for my M5

    I just bought a stealthone kit for my e39 M5. It's new in the box but the guy had it for like 3-4 years but never got around to installing it.

    Will it work with a brand new V1... will the software be compatible?

    If not hen which V1 one do I need to buy?

    Wow, you really lucked out! Yes, your S1 will work just fine with your newer V1. AFAIK, they haven't changed the concealed display protocol at all in many years (if ever).

    Looking forward to pics and videos of your install.

    I searched on the web to find the website of the maker who says they quit making them. Whats the reason behind that?

    Unknown. It's happened a couple of times, though - he makes a batch, sells out, disappears for a while, and then comes back and makes another batch. Maybe he'll be back again someday.

    Ok but nothing to do with the quality of the product right?

    I would like one for my e46 as well.... oh well....

    BTW gonna be a while before I install... My car is put away for the winter.

    I wanna hide it in the headrest. I just need to figure out a kill switch and a remote speaker.

    Not real proficient with wiring but I think I can make it happen.

    @jfman
    Do you get your Kit from ebay?

    I'm looking for a StealthOne Kit lately as well, but couldn't find one.

    Is there an alternative to StealthOne?
