We have a new guy at work, and I'm his "formal mentor" so I told him we should go out for lunch. He gets in my car, and says "Oh you have a V1 too?!?" So we get to talking, he bought his back in the mid-90s, and had it hardwired in his Mustang. Fast forward, it's in a closet and the Mustang sits in the garage most of the time.
But after talking about how he could upgrade, and after my save the other day, he went and dug it out of the closet. He knew it was not 1.8 and was going to send it for an upgrade, but I told him how to open programming mode to see what his version number is first.
I was hoping he had one of those pre-POP holy grails that are talked about on here so I could trade him. But he said today "My V1 is so ancient it has SW ver 1.36". The stickies only go back to 2004 so I never heard of a SW version less than 3.xxx. I thought maybe he missed the first digit and it was 3.136? What do you all think?
Either way, he's going to send it in to get upgraded and hardwire it into his explorer!Zombie revived!
