    Default Disable POP in CA?

    Hey guys,
I wanted to know if POP is relevant in California? Do CHP use POP radar? I'm thinking about disabling it, if they're not using POP in CA. Thanks

Do any agencies in CA even use MPH guns? I have yet to see a Bee out here.

Unless it was a "false" I got two "PULSE" readings on my old Whistler XTR 330 going north on the 5 just past the 170 connection a few months ago. I'm very new to this, so take that for what it's worth.

The only place I've ever seen 33.8 is Cali was on the 5 around the Laguna Hills/Mission Viejo area. I never did spot the LEO, but he was going the other direction. I don't think it was a false alert, because the signal lasted for a good 30 seconds, ramped up just like LEO radar and I've been through there many, many times without any alert like this. Also, it couldn't have been CHP, because they use only 34.7.

pulse =/= pop. Pulse is whistlers way of reporting a signal with a strong initial strength, like instant-on.

I thought so. But the OP questioned disabling POP and it seems that someone is using it somewhere here in CA.
