Default Should I get the V1 inspected?

I was in a car accident that totalled my car on 12/27. During the accident I think the airbag or something hit the V1 and then it hit the windshield. All I really remember is it swing by the cord when I realized what had happened.

Everything seems normal but could anything be damaged internally because of the shock?

The important thing is that I hope no one got hurt.

IMHO it won't hurt to get it inspected. Or you could just use it for a few days and see if it seems to be working ok.

Take care .. It's just a tool and can be replaced!

It never hurts to get it inspected. First, see how its performing against known sources of radar before coming to a conclusion. My Bel 955 was hit from the underside by an airbag 4 months ago rendering the mounting bracket useless yet the detector itself continues to perform excellent.

Sorry to hear about your accident! Those Indy interstates can be treacherous in the winter. INDOT snow removal is not so good in central Indiana.

To be on the safe side it is best to send it in for a checkup.
