Default V1 continues to demonstrate good laser capability

Obviously picking up scatter from cars ahead is a lot more important than alerting once you're already hit, and I've had the V1 do that also, just thought the latest laser encounter was interesting with the V1 alerting so well.

I got hit by laser (again) last week from around 1200 feet. PSL was 45 and I was doing about that since the V1 had alerted very briefly to KA band about a 1/2 mile before the laser hit. I think the cop must have driven up with his radar on, and stopped and got out the laser gun just before I came up on him.

The V1 and Blinders went off at almost the same time. I flipped the M27 off after 3 to 4 seconds. The cop continued to shoot me for another 3 to 4 seconds and the V1 alerted the whole time. Then, when the cop started shooting the car behind me, the V1 alerted again. The cop was at a very shallow angle, almost straight ahead, but even so I was surprised the V1 picked up the shot on the guy who was about 100 behind me.

I 100% agree. My V1 has picked up scatter a few times. I am sure it was due to my location in traffic and the fact that the LI system does not go off until I am hit directly. I am VERY impressed with the V1 ability to detect scatter, I knew it was good but didn't think it was THAT good until I saw it first hand multiple times!

Thats what I thought mine was once, but I was picking up scatter for a good 30 seconds before I was the target!

Most of the time when I'm not on a highway, if I get a laser alert its an infinity SUV coming at me....

Anyone know about V1 vs TS EU and V1 vs TP XR ?

    V1 vs TP XR
First videos showed detection. Later videos showed no detection at all. Some users say it's inconsistent against that gun. Complete mess. I think it's just a firmware fix to remove filter algos but we don't know anything about a fix in the future.

    V1 vs TS EU
No videos at all, no reference to look at.

    THnx for your time.

I been getting more laser alerts since the start of the new year. Some I feel are scatter and in a few cases I saw LEO afterward.
Just this morning on my way to work (in the dark) I got a alert for a couple seconds, then it went quiet. Then about 10 seconds or so later I got another that lasted a couple seconds. Then quiet again for maybe 20 or so seconds. Then I got a third after I crossed an intersection, and just about the time it stopped I spotted LEO off the right. I think the first few alerts were the cars that were going through the intersection that were up ahead of me, and the alerts were scatter. Just my thoughts. Although it was dark out, I spotted LEO sitting there.
About 15 minutes later down the highway, I got Ka from behind. It was to dark and the headlights were a ways back, so I made sure to go PSL for awhile until the headlights turned to a cross street and all went quiet. The arrows.

I got hit with laser in MA around 12:30am on a remote dark highway with no traffic for miles. I was on cruise control doing the PSL and the V1 worked perfectly.

Come on down to the Atlanta area, plenty of laser in use here. I run across a cop shooting laser at least a couple of times a week it seems. I don't always get targeted, but laser is used more than radar around Atlanta.

One thing I forgot to add, is that I have the V1 behind an aftermarket tint strip, and it still has picked up multiple laser shots. The strip is what I'd call a moderately dark strip. I like it because it makes the V1 almost invisible from the outside.

Unfortunately, if you do get hit with laser, they have your speed. It isn't entirely rare to pick up scatter, but I know when my V1 does, I crap my pants and hope it was only scatter instead of a hit. I really need to get a jammer.
