    Thumbs up Valentine1 sysnopsis

Vally has caught 3 bogies in the span of 3 weeks. Traveling 75 mph in 55 zone, the valentine showed where they were in a cicle fashion while driving by.

Gotta love the arrows. Riding in my friend's vette and hearing the 9500ci go off without the arrows ... it was interesting. A time to reflect. I can't believe some consider the arrows to be "gimmicky." They work, they work well, and they provide useful ... even essential information.

I had 6 K bogies at once today, and the arrows were going all over the place. I had no idea where the cop was or if there even was one. I consider the arrows "cute" most of the time. They do make me smile when I can use them to help pick out the cop though.

When that happens chances are you are near a whole lot of door openers. Arrows do not really apply in those situations. IMO arrows work unless the bogey is in close proximity, when there can be mixed signals.

Gotta love those arrows. You know when you are safe, when you can speed up, and when to slow down.

This was on the freeway .... . I had POP on so I'm sure that contributed. I would bet there were cops close off the freeway since that portion went over Santa Ana, and they do use K band there. I have since killed POP.

The thing about the arrows is you truly miss them when you don't have them .... but I think the whole "arrows saved me" thing is quite blown out of proportion. I've always maintained that if you are speeding in the presence of a Ka hit, then you deserve a ticket. It is nice to know if the cop is behind or ahead of you though.

Using the X50 and 9500ix, I have had some long Ka alerts .... 5 miles once on the 55 South .... where I suspected the cop was behind me but I didn't know for sure until he came into view. Of course I drove the speed limit for the duration of the alert and didn't get a ticket, but it's nice to know where they are.

Once Escort gets the arrows, it's game over for the V1 IMO.

One of the most important things about the arrows, is when you are driving and get a rear arrow and a single beep at least you know the threat is behind you. In other detectors you will be still wondering if there is an I/O trap up ahead.

You're probably right, except there's also the quick trigger and bogey counter issues.
