How to reprogram?

How do I reprogram my V1?

Do I reprogram big L? or little L?

From what I understand I leave the A alone.(is this correct?)

So turn off K, turn off X, mute KA(how do I mute?), Turn off pop?

Might I need the K in big L, or little L?? (which ever I should reprogram.)

I live in metro denver, colorado.

I may have missed it, but I don't recall learning how to reprogram it.

Colorado HP: 35.5 Ka, Laser (pro-laser III)
Colorado Springs: K, Ka, and LIDAR (LTI)
CSPD: may have POP
Douglas County: Ka, marked Suburbans
El Paso County: K and Ka
El Paso County Sheriff: K
Evans (Weld County): K, Possible LIDAR
Fort Collins: Photo Radar
Greeley (Weld County): Ka, Possible LIDAR
Highway Patrol: Stalker 34.7 Ka
Lone Tree: Laser (in Hummers, possibly others)-- X band is a FALSE source near where they shoot LIDAR
Longmont: 35.5 Ka, 34.7 Ka, 24.125 K, and Laser from a motorcycle cop on 119 thru Boulder.
Loveland (Weld County): Ka, Possible K and LIDAR

Alright, I did this
1.Go to programming mode in the v1.
2.go to option 7, then make sure the arrow is pointed DOWN. (it is pointed UP as default from VR)
3.go to option b next, make sure arrow is pointed DOWN.
4.go to option C next, make sure arrow is pointed UP.
5.go to option d next, make sure arrow is pointed UP.
6.go to option E next, make sure arrow is pointed UP (default).
7.go to option F next, make sure arrow is pointed UP (default).
8.go to option G, make sure arrow is pointed DOWN.
I also did J down.

Should I also do 5 down?

NO!
You will be getting alot more Ka alerts and it will start to desensitizes you to the alert!
Leave 5 on (up arrow) and when you get a Ka alert 90% to 95% you will find it is a LEO!

The only thing I changed on my V1 is X OFF.

#5 is for photo radar cameras (vans) if they are use in your area or state. It makes you slow down faster with more LEDs on Ka because the beam is across the road and harder to detect. Watch out for G, that is rear K mute. The main difference between A and little l is that in little l, the V1 responds at tab volume for weak on-set X and K, the way you have it set.

I know for a fact they use photo vans in colorado, i've got off clean 3 time because, I don't have a front plate, and there was mud on the back.

"5" up will give you a normal visual and audio ramp up which I feel is the best.

"5" down only makes more leds light up and more urgent audio alerts for Ka band alerts. If you are easily distracted and listen to your radio loud then "5" down might be best for you but it makes it harder to judge the distance to the source because the ramp-up is not linear. I have heard that the V1 will not give you a huge amount of time to react to a photo van so maybe this setting would be beneficial to you. I don't have photo vans so I don't have to worry about this setting.

If you pay attention to every visual and audio alert of your V1 and are not easily distracted, "5" up is probably the best setting.
