Wow. Good question. I have had mine for well over a decade. About 15 years now @ 20,000 miles per year. That would make it 300,000 miles +/- some minor down time. A few upgrades during that time. Last one in 2007 to 3.819.

This year I'll have been V1-ing for 10 years. Got my first one in 2000. So probably 100-120K miles with one, maybe a bit more. My annual mileage went up in '07.
My first was a 1.7 (forget what firmware version), then a 3.813 and now a 3.858. A good friend has my 3.813.
Total times pulled over: 0

I like that question!
Over a million miles for me, same 1.7 for 15 years, Its been in several vehicles that I have owned for 13 years and don't have any more,
I drive for a living as well but typically don't go too far any more.
I have never had a radar or laser ticket since starting with an '85 Passport, been pulled over for pacing
methods though.

This is a very good question, I have about 75K on the V1. Wow V1 Dave you have been rolling with the V1 for a while....![]()
Not had it long so I would have to estimate about 1500-2000k miles to date.
Worth every penny so far!![]()
I've had V1 in 4 different cars totaling about 192,000 miles and I've had it since 1999.
I've never thought about it but I've never had a ticket while I've had it. Thank you for reminding me!
From the 1994 unit to the newer 3.872, close to 25k miles per year, that is around 400k miles. Also $$$ V1 ticket free, but with one written warning and one verbal warning, I/Oof course. One Escort ticket years ago in Texas, I/O K band. Knock on wood and hope my luck does not run out. Now, I do not try to drive over +9 PSL because the Troopers are very selective on who they hit with I/O Ka plus the state now has a no speeding tollerance I've heard, no tax money!...

Don't get me wrong, it's not that a 955 alone would have saved me all the time. In fact, less than a week after I got my V1 I had an encounter that was a textbook example of why I got it - PSP hiding 1/4 mile after a K-band drone and the bogey counter and forward arrow told me he was there. If I hadn't known for the previous 5 miles that he was there thanks to the CB, I might have been owned. [replacer_img]
But for the radar-only saves, there were no falses and the LEOs shot so many cars before me that it wasn't even a challenge.
If I had to, I'd use a simple detector to be able to afford a CB.
