Can a LEO run front/back radar at the same time?

This morning the V1 saved me at a speed trap, the area was pretty dark so I couldn’t see very well and all his lights were shut off. When I came upon him the counter counted one as I got closer it went to two and I didn’t see another LEO but that doesn’t mean one wasn’t sitting back farther. In this area I usually don’t get any signal. Could that have been reflection or something?

This LEO was really dirty, with his lights all off and the road dark pointing toward me. I couldn’t visually see him until I was on top of him. And I’m sure there could have been another farther off the road.

Yeah, we see this all the time in NYS. On the thruway they will be in the median facing one direction, shooting both E/W traffic.

Haha, if only we could be so lucky! Though NYST do often do this at traffic-accidents.

A while back, I thought a Trooper was running front and rear but it was another Trooper sneaking up from the rear. Please explain in more detail the ramp up- one or two arrows, when- ramp down- time sequence, etc.. Ka? So we can futher picture the situation.

He was down in a valley with a corner approaching the valley, I got a beep maybe a ¼ mile before the corner and I knew it wasn’t normal in that area, so I slowed down a little prior to the corner. The beeps (X band) ramped up as I was into the corner but I don’t think I got a full row of lights even on top of him. Within maybe 150 yards of him the counter went up to 2 and stayed there until I passed him. After I passed him, I got a full row of lights and then 150 or so yards away the counter went back to 1 bogey and progressively ramped down in lights.
