Pulled the trigger on a V1

I ordered a Valentine 1 today and did 2 day fedex shipping before noon as well as purchasing a colored concealed display. I can't wait to get them and see how it works. Is there anything I need to know as far as setup or settings or just plug it in and go? I primarily live in Louisiana right now but will be taking a trip to Texas soon. Thanks.

When you get the V1, turn POP OFF. Read the manual on how to interpret what the V1 is telling you.

And when you hit the Texas on I-10, watch out for TX DPS. They love their I/O Ka 34.7.

No. POP ON causes Ka false alerts alerts. Turn it off.

POP on? Don't you mean KA guard? POP is always on on mine, and I never get false alerts till I change the KA guard.

Good move on the purchase of your V1, I think you will like it. It does take some getting used to and a little time to to learn all the ins and outs of your Detector
