Its the first I've heard about a laser false from a corolla. Did you get a chance to follow the corolla and verify it was not another source?

Doubt it was the Corolla. Is that red neon on the side of the building? Difficult to tell from the clip.

It must be the corolla, I go there all the time and I've never had a laser go off. The laser went off after I got close to the corolla. After the corolla moved away you can see it stopped detecting. The corolla was stock, he didn't have led tail mods or anything.

Did the alerts stop when the Corolla's brake lights went out?

More cars are using LED lighting as stock now, so it could be that. The brightness of the LEDs is controlled with PWM (so the LEDs are pulsing on and off at a high rate of speed), setting off the V1.

One other strange thing in the video. At the exact moment the brake lights go out at the end, the alert tone on the V1 stops, but the display continues to show an alert, and then another alert afterward, after the Corolla pulled away. Did you mute the V1 at that exact moment?
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

I was thinking 3rd brake light (since a lot of manu. use LED's for those) but it looks like you keep getting the alert, like kpatz said, and the brake lights were off. Could be his parking lights, and it's just iritating the crap out of your V1.
