To those who ordered through website...

I went ahead and ordered a Valentine 1 earlier today. I chose next day air with UPS as my shipping option, but didn't recieve a tracking number or confirmation of any kind. I called and got a recording, which said they closed at 5:30 EST. I ordered well before they closed. Does this sound somewhat normal?

I'm thinking that they might only process orders up until a certain time in the day. Hopefully this is the problem, and I will get what I need tomorrow sometime. On the other hand, I placed my order around 3 o'clock EST this afternoon. I would have thought that they would have went ahead and processed it, but maybe not.

When I ordered mine, a year ago, they actually called me to confirm my order...which was strange.

From my ordering of numerous objects about NAmerica (and otherwise) in a business speaking sense... businesses often say something to the effect of:

"Orders received before Noon will be processed and sent out on the same day..."

In other words all others will be processed the next day...

I am honestly too lazy to really go and check VR's website, but I would guess your 3:30PM order (only 2hrs before close) will cause it so your order will be processed and sent out tomorrow morning.

Id shoot them a call before noon their-time to confirm.

Yes, you're exactly right. Since I chose next day air, I was hoping they would go ahead and get everything done. Not a big deal though.

I got mine a few weeks ago. When I ordered, I never got a confirmation, email, or call. Actually, I didn't even think about it till I read this post. I know V1 to have a good reputation, so I didn't worry. Mine showed up a few days after I ordered it and is working great.

i saw a similar post for something like this a few weeks ago, and if i remember correctly most people stated that they never send you any confirmation anymore unless you call them and ask for it over phone. I wouldn't know for sure since I haven't bought my V1 yet, but that is what I remember being discussed a while back.

I have 2 V1's. Ordered both through their website. No email confirmation, phone call, ect, they just show up 2-3 days later! Make sure you are home to sign for the package or you'll be headed to UPS to pick it up.

The company I work for will ship next day air until 1pm, local time for the warehouse, if the order is placed through our website. Otherwise, it ships the following day..... unless the order is placed by calling us...then we can usually still get it out until 3pm, again local time for warehouse.

Well, they are a reputable company, so I guess it's not a big deal. However, they did give me an order number, not sure what the signifigance of that is.
