I just recieved my v1 last Friday.

What is the best setting for my V1? X band is driving me nut. I live in San Jose, California, not sure if the law enforcement even use X band on their gun. Help!!

I do not believe X is used in california. Best bet would to be turn it off if this is true.

If X band is driving you nuts, do big L in the city and A or little L on the highway.

I am newbie using V1.

Try pressing the mute button and holding it until you see |_ then press it and hold it again until you see the big L. If you still have x band problems, turn the x band off.

I leave mine in small l mode in the city, and A on highway. I never use capitol L mode.

I turned off X as it is not used in Wisconsin. Hardly get any falses. I may turn it back on for my trip to South Dakota this fall.
