Default Bye RX45 and ZR4's and Hello V1 and LI dual1

I have a RX45 and ZR4's currently installed in my Camaro... I should have read and joined here before making that selection... No problem, I am sure I can sell the RX45 and take a loss but lesson learned right?

I am ordering this combo next week:

    http://www.radarbusters.com/laser-ja...bopackages.cfm

I am also going to order the V! remote display and a rearview mirror mount for the V!..

Now onto my issue... Apparently the 2010 Camaro has an odd rearview mirror (read: not standard) and I can't find a rearview mount anywhere that says it fits it..

    Any ideas???

    Thanks in advance!!!!

rear view mirror mount? you mean something like "blendmount"?

you can just use the V1 suction cups and stick the V1 to the windshield above your RVM. make sure you hardwire it too. much cleaner

    heres mine for example:

Yes I am going to hardwire it and the V1 remote display..

I am not a fan of the suction cups and was hoping that blendmount had an option for the 2010 Camaro... I have a friend that ordered a V1 mount from them previously ( item BV1-GMO-HINGE ) but it is no longer listed and the 2010 Camaro is also no longer listed as a selectable vehicle...

    Thanks!!!!!

oh i see. Not sure if i can help you with that. V1 suction cups are the best i've had actually.. they've been sticking there strong for months.

that's as far as i can go. not sure what mirror you have.. but it should fit if they say it does. those things are pretty universal anyway. good luck!

The suction cups really aren't a big deal. If you mount the V1 behind your tint strip, the strip hides the cups and detector quite well.

As for the Blendmount, most of us here aren't a fan of it for two reasons:

    1. Stealth. The mount positions the detector right in the center of your windshield. That means you can see it... and so can everyone else around you. You may start having people follow you on the highway and using you as their detector. Perfect example (detector isn't mounted via Blendmount but it's still in a non-stealth location):

    2. Thieves. If you leave your detector up when you are parked somewhere, the Blendmount leaves your detector out in the open and is an invite for thieves to break in and steal it.

So I guess that Xmas come early, pretty nice setup. I would agree that I wish that I had founded this site before I brought mines but I'm glad that it's okay now. Congrat on your new improve setup.

    Thanks!!!

One MAJOR problem with Camaro is the rear window is so low / small that if the RD is mounted above the rearview mirror I do not think it would have much luck seeing out the back...
