Default Apparently my roof is interfering with the rear antenna

Today was the first day I was able to drive my convertible this year. I've been doing some work on it, and one of those jobs was to make it compatible with my V1. Until now I've been using the V1 exclusively in my sedan mounted high above the RVM. (sig shows setup)

edit: read below for whole post. Whenever I try to post the whole thing it doesn't work?

When I'm getting on the Turnpike, sometimes I get one rear bogey from, I think, a Rutters. Sometimes I get nothing; when I do it's about one or two dots.

Today, with the rear of the V1 completely unobstructed, I got four bogeys at about 50% signal strength.

I don't care too much because we don't have moving radar (for now), but I thought it was interesting.

It ain't passed yet. I'm going to just wait, and if it does pass then the police will need time to order and obtain their laser guns, so we'll have time to order and install our LI's...

Even if we do get moving radar I have absolutely no plans to change my setup. If you're actually speeding, the cops never catch up to you. Even if they do, it's only a 5-10 MPH difference instead of the >130 MPH difference when they're coming toward you, so there's a lot more opportunity to detect them. And the V1 surely does a better job with a slightly obstructed rear antenna than a detector with no rear antenna at all.

That's what I'm doing too.Moving radar I'm not that worried about it's LIDAR I hate.Oh well it had to happen sooner or later.Still I always loved telling people I live in the only state w/ no LIDAR!
