Ticket w/V1

No tickets with the V1 and I have been one of the early users. I also employ good CM’s, good tactics, CB radio, “rabbits” – that’s plural since the LEO’s have 2 to 4 readouts for us Drivers in their radar gun displays. You may not be the fastest target, but if you’re close he’ll also have your reading and you’ll be toast!

Why yes, I got my first one tonight! What puzzles me is I got no warning! Not even a chirp or a blink? Never any signal of what they used. Any ideas?

LIDAR? What's the ticket list the method as?

The ticket doesn't say. I saw him sitting in on a side drive, so I let up but didn't brake because nothing happened. No beep, chirp or lights. I was really suprised when he pulled out with the lights blaring. He just said he had me at 64mph coming out of a 45 mph zone. The sign where i was says 55, but I know the area. He wrote me for 64 in a 50. I have also noticed in the area that some of the automated speed signs (like they place in areas they are monitoring) some of them set off my V1 and some don't but still show my speed? Can someone explain what is going on? I'm putting the Beartracker/scanner in the car as we speak. Does my V1 need an upgrade of some type?

The V1 filters out some speed signs that are not police radar. SWS or EWS or something I forget what it's called.

POP is next to non-existent, most people run with POP off.

Well Valentine seems to think Tennesse has POP. What else would not trigger my V1? The ticket does say radar, but nothing else.
I don't really want to spend $140 for an upgrade, but if it's being used here then I don't really have a choice if I want to be fully protected (which I thought I was)...

Got my V1 in '99 when I bought a new Camaro. (Camaros like to go fast. Go figure.) Got two laser tickets in '04. My laser jammer was not working. Ugh. I'm scared to upgrade. This V1 works so good.

I was just thinking and this is a terrible thought to come up with but if a LEO wanted to be a REAL rat bastard he could do a calibration on one of those "your speed is" signs with his tuning forks and wait in the bushes watching that sign till he "got a good reading" ! :0

I am really shocked how few of us have gotten tickets with the V1!
