    Default Are you crazy?

    People who have V1's

When people ask you how much it was and you tell them the price...

    Do they think your crazy?

Some people could not imagine spending so much money on such a thing!

Its like buying $500+ earphones... i'd think the guy who bought it was crazy but i guess if thats what he is into its ok

    Just a random thought

Not if they see it in action.

I'm extraordinarily picky about where my money goes. I don't buy things without a clear purpose and I don't buy things unless my research tells me that they are worth their dollar value. I honestly think that my V1 was the best $400 I've ever spent.

if you do alot of driving in speed trap areas your not crazy all you need it is to save you from 4x $100 tickets and your golden....I have spent 1.5k on my whole set-up and it has been payed off by saves

Now is the V1 had the worst detection....thats another thing...But the last GOL event showed it to be the best all around(good on every band) radar detector

    Spoiler: show

The ticket itself initially wouldn't be that big of deal. Yea, I hate to part with any money but if it were only that, I wouldn't worry as much.

What eventuallly kills people off is the difference in insurance premiums if not being completely dropped from an insurance company because of a ticket. Three + freakin' years it follows you around and keeps your insurance premiums at a premium cost adding up the whole time every month.

$400??? Cheap and very well worth it if you ask me!!!!!!!!

The word "insurance" came from the mafia. You paid it to keep from being "hit" or "knocked off." It feels very much the same way now.

I paid over $700 in speeding tickets and insurance increases for 2 speeding tickets before I had the V1. I think the $400 price is justified.

Performance has it's price...it's that simple. If you buy a Ferrari instead of a Integra Type R or Subaru Impreza or whatever, you pay 2-3 times the price of the "normal" car for the Ferrari and its not 2-3 times faster, but it IS faster ! Some people pay for that reliability and detection performance

My wife thought I was crazy for spending that much on the V1. Although she still thinks I'm crazy, she is very impressed by the V1 performance...and she isn't a techy at all. So to impress her, Mike V. did something right!

I as cheap as it gets. I don't buy something "just because". It has to have it's purpose and it has to be good.

I bought the V1 for the performance, period. You get what you pay for. I didn't want to buy something for $200-$300 and have to throw it away in a couple years...
