V1 in Ohio?

Over the last few days, I drove approx 5 hours through ohio, and kept getting full strength instant on shots. From the PA border to the KY border I got 40 or 50 of these...enough that i just said F it and turned the volume off. Same thing happened on the return trip. Any idea what the heck I could have been picking up? Theres no way it was police

Turn the T option on. Your getting the traffic monitoring devices which shoots out K band radar to monitor traffic.

You'll have to have purchased new last fall or upgraded recently to receive TSR option. Works wonders as all major Ohio interstates have K-band blast every minute.

so in a nut shell, if I have a 8 year old V1, best bet is to just turn it off in ohio?

Very true. I went through there this past July and was wondering wtf?. Then I noticed the signs with the devices. Very painful for a few hours.

No! Never have to turn the V1 off in Ohio with K-band muting. I ran mine for a year and half muting K-band for 3 seconds to your lower set volume. Arrows are always on.

how exactly do I do the K band muting? Ive never really played around with my settings

How to Reprogram V1 Radar Detector

Arrow down: 7, E, F, then select the seconds of muting to thee lower volume. This works in little "L" mode. All bogeys over rides it.
