Default New cell phone causes V1 too false on X-band.

Hi guys, my Valentine One is around 3 -4 years old version 3.872.

I just got a new Samsung Galaxy S3 cell phone and whenever I place or receive a call my detector starts too false on X band.

I don’t use the phone much but I don’t need it causing the V1 to alert me to non-existing radar.

For the time being I have turned X band off but if I traveled outside my home area I really should have it turned on.

    I’m wondering what to do?

Should I send it in for a tune up?

What if a tune up doesn’t fix it?

    Is this common?

    Thanks for any input

My old Palm Treo would cause an X-band all the time. there are only a dozen or Ohio Patrol cars still with X-band.

Definitely keep the V1 and give VR a call. I'm sure they'd want to know.

Well on their website it says that if you have this problem... switch phones. No joke.

You travel allot, record the car's number found on front and rear bumpers. I had the memorized to about 8 cars when I lost track. Then I kept seeing a new car number every once and while. So I figured about a dozen or so cars.

Its a known issue with CDMA phones. (I had an old Samsung phone with Sprint that would cause an intermittent X band beep)

    It's Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3.

I'm going to call Valentine Research when I get time.
