I just sold my non segmented Redline because of the lack of speed for QT and very fast IO

I bought a new V1 with connection and now Redline comes out with band segmenting!!!!

I love my V1 but the off axis seems to be bad on the new FW

K band is my major concern here

Question: should I return the V1 and get a Redline?
how is everones K band on the new 3.893 FW with connection

maybe I have a dud? but I need the off axis as well

will be on the highway and get no K band from store of axis of course but the rear will light up like crazy

this has me concerned as the Redline picked up these signals sooner

any advice would be appreciated.

Matter of preference on units, both are awesome. I do believe the RedLine is better at K although that also means more falsing from door openers because of the great off-axis. I happen to have the New RedLine and am impressed with it, I have never had a V1-so can only go by what I have read and testing results on it. There are some great testing info on both new units out there that should help you decide.

Stick with the V1... I've had a 5 mile pickup of k band in the hills... I was amazed since it wasn't flat land

You should stick with the V1 since you switched from the RedLine already (though i thought you had a 9500ix?). There will always be perceived shortcomings when you dont stick with a particular model for a while and get to know it. Sure the RedLine will out preform the V1 with its new software, but it did before too and was great with I/O yet you returned it.

Just stick with the V1, you probubly dont need the little extra performance the RedLine will give you in reality anyway.

Also keep in mind the V1's front antenna is better with long range and the rear antenna is better with off axis, so you may get a rear blip from off axis K band when the front didn't alert to it at all.

After owning the redline and selling the unit possibly buyers remorse with the updated firmware of the redline thats a call you will
have to make.
With the small amount of sensitivity gained by the Escort the advantages of the V1 offer a more intuitive detection awareness.
The directional arrows are a huge plus, sensitivity is more than more adequate and the ramp up is one of the best out there. I would keep the V1 in a heartbeat over an Escort!

My offax k is great. Tune your v1 just right and it won't be as annoying as everyone thinks it is plus a great rear antenna

Do the best, dump the Redline, keep the V1, add the Stir. No matter what anyone says, two RD do not play well together on the windshield.

Return it and get a Redline.

X2, the latest RL with the BS RDR is an awesome unit, better on 34.7 and 35.5 than my V1C. Its also a beast on K band.

Ignore those above who say stick with the V1 when in fact, they haven't run the latest RL or even seen the tests?? The ONLY advantage the V1 currently has is the arrows adn MOST of us can live without them.
