    Brent_vino.

He's a very enthusiastic and outspoken supporter of the V1. Additionally, he drives an M3, according to his sig, and describes some good, high-speed driving stories from time to time.

I'm also interested because I hope to have a BMW someday. 8)

    Cagers

Anywho, it is good to hear your V1 does its job, but I for one am glad I dont live anywhere near you... and realize there is a reason why you got 4 tickets before the V1 and scanner.

That's exactly how these drones work, weak to full blast up to two units at one time.
I can block them out but you can't because you have the (3.824) version which has the K band automute flaw.
Don't upgrade though as your current unit will help to slow you down.
Or I guess you could go ahead and upgrade and have a peaceful detector like mine that won't alert you to drone falses that way you could get to your license, jail or any other fate faster, you do like faster don't you?
You defiantly pick the wrong highways to open it up.
By the way when it comes to DMV looking at your record they don't just look at the last three years.
They have what's called an H5 (in-house) printout that you may receive my signing a form.
I'm guessing that a judge has access to this as well.
Also major violations such as drunk driving, hit and run, or reckless driving are reportable to employers, insurance company's, and any commercial inquirers for a much longer period of time than three years which starts at the conviction date.

Right on. Yea I didn't really look out for the usual spots that cops are likely to situate themselves or their patrol patterns until after a couple of local police ride-a-longs. Gawd, doing those gives you such a greater perspective as to the scope of which an officer thinks and their mindset when on duty. I fully appreciate my tickets as a learning experience and a lesson that has caused me to research and learn so much about the driving community and Law Enforcement.
If it helps, I too am glad that you don't live near me either. I don't know what man is doing up in the wee hours of the night putting around on the local freeways, unless he's doing traveling, or joining me for some fun on the roadways. Besides if you did see me it would only be for a brief second at the earliest hours in the dark as a "blurr" passes you by and slightly rocks your car to the side.

Thanks Dave. Yea, I've been aware of the DMV records actually. I was referencing my insurance company, but I should have stated that part. My apologies. It's amazing just how much information and how long DMVs hold onto their records and it was a real bore to read through. And don't get me started on the municipal codes, haha. Felt like I was back in high school studying for an exit exam. The interesting codes by far are the police codes without a doubt. Thanks for the refresher.

Sure, your welcome get the 3.826 and automute all eight LED's on those frekin drones. It is so sweet and VR will most likely do it for free.

You drive your little BMW car... get it out of your head now that its fast... it isnt, and it will help you out in the long-run if you do that.

And I would be glad to let you fly by me as a 'blurr'... except if I was pushing it in Cali (Something which I wouldnt do ever, thats what track-days are for)... you would be a blur going backwords.

Lets just say its good your V1 and scanner work.

That is fine bud. I never insinuated that my car is fast in any sense. When I reference the blur factor, however, I meant to mean a driver in the night who is following in the accordance of the law and going the speed limit on law enforced roads, which I am sure you are.
I am fully aware that my car by no means is fast in any sense from a benchmark of 0-60 or 1/4 or any statement in that regard.
However, if I were to be in the 100s or so and I pass you while you are going the speed limit, you would then be interepreting my car as passing you as "fast". And that is what I meant by that. Sorry for having to clarify that, but I think you took me as being ignorant or even arrogant and I don't want you to get that impression of me.

And yes the local Auto-Xs at my local BMW chapter are a great deal of fun to go putting around in with my little BMW.
