    oh ok. thank you. excellent description. sounds like i need to take it back to the place that hardwired my V1 so they can hardwire the display because i have no idea where they hid the adapters.

    If you want to keep that awesome range on the V1, DON'T APPLY ANY FORM OF WINDOW TINTING PERIOD! Mk

    Dear Sir:

    The tint will not affect radar at all. It may have some slight effect on laser, but that’s offset by having the V1 mounted as high as possible.

    You can either mount it in the tint at the top or slightly below. It really won’t do much to affect performance either way.

    Metal tints are seriously bad news for all detectors. Plastic tint is the best way to go if you are thinking of tinting the windows.
