1 K-band speed sign multiple bogies(3.826 Ghosting)?

I got a k band alert in my hometown today from 1.6 miles away in hilly and curvey terrain front antenna! bad thing was that I got multiple bogies 2-3 light up as I passed right beside the speed sign and it went away after I went by it.

Also on testing the rear antenna on the same sign I got 1.4 miles, but I had a big tractor trailer in front of me the whole time and it falsed 2 k bands 1 ahead and the speed sign to the rear. then the 1 ahead disapeared. There was no LEO ahead either as it never alerted again besides the rear speed sign.

Is this multiple bogey alerts normal when passing by a direct source? Also when getting near large flat objects like a tractor trailer in front of me? I can't remember my old v1.8 doing it..maybe it did I just never payed attention in the past.

Is this the ghosting issue people talked about in 3.825? Because mine is 3.826.

We have been talking that apparently the K ghost is still around. I get that with the local Kroger door openers maybe once out of every 20 drive bys. Do you have POP on? I think I am going to turn my POP off and see if that has any effect on ghosting. :?

I have pop on...but I thought leaving pop on increased k band range though. Thats why I left it on..because I still encounter plenty of K band LEOs.

I can't remember what Jimbozz said. I think I am going to try to turn mine off and see. We talked yesterday that turning POP off will eliminate some K and KA falses.....Food or thought.....let me know what you do....

I want to keep pop on because of the possible increased k band range, but if its the reason for getting multiple bogies when passing the source or getting behind large radar reflective objects and it happens a lot I will turn it off.

Maybe someone will chime in and tell us if it happens to them as well or if someone has an older unit it does it to also.

My 3.825 never did on K band speed signs....haven't found one with 3.826

thanks for sharing...did it go away right after you passed it?

I mean this isn't a major problem, but I think it needs to be fixed if it doesn't occur in older revisions/models.

yeah, the alert quickly diminished from 2-3 to nothing after passing the source.
