Default STRONG Ka false from Honda minivan

I put the V1 in 'A' mode to try it out.

I turned onto a hilly road and soon got a strong Ka bogey signal from behind. I checked my mirror for a cop car and then continued driving. All I could see back there was a beige minivan. Then, every time I'd go over a hill the signal would disappear. Every time I could see the minivan the V1 would go nuts. Eventually, I pulled up to a stop sign and the Honda minivan stopped right behind me. The V1 went crazy.

Did this guy have a radar-based cruise control? I know he couldn't have been using it, so it must still shoot radar even when stopped.

    What's the deal?

Probably a very crappy RD. Perhaps a RMR, who knows. Seem odd that it picked it up that far away, but as someone pointed out the V1 might as well be a spectre with arrows.

So I have a Valentine radar detector detector... :P

I just figured that it was adaptive cruise control.

It looks like the latest Mercedes shoot out 77-GHz and 24-GHz (for brake assist). 24GHz is right in the middle of K-band, right? I think the 77-GHz is what is used for the long range adaptive radar on most cars. Could the 77-GHz be picked up by the V1?

I don't think honda is using radar based cruise.

There is a sensor in front of the mini van. That's why our v1 blares.

The 2006 Odyssey Touring model has front and rear parking sensors.
