Top tint

i have that sun tint banner across the top of my windshiled, i just hardwired my V1 into my reading lights and it sits above the rear view mirror, and i was wondering if that banner will reduce my responce. I will try to post some picturres tomorrow, my camera has been on the fritz latley.

NO - Radar
YES - Laser

But since you have a V1 and the Laser detection on the V1 is Awesome I really dont think you need to worry about it!

I agree with the previous post.

I have the same in my Impala. My V1 "peeks" out just under the tint strip. Works awesome!

He he, yeah I saw the link to your desktop.

You see, we do not have access to your computer, and what you attempted to do was in theory "attach" your pictures to your post like email, but that will not work.

You have to upload to a "host" your internet service provider account normally has designated space for you, or if not you can use many free image host servers to upload to that you can link too.

if the tint contains metal then it can cause losses in performance!

my advice is to find a false alert spot, like local supermarket doors with a nice big car park.....

park out of range of the sensor do that it doesnt trigger the detector..
mount the detector under the tint band and drive towards the door sensor... noting when you first get a warning......... when you get a warning do the exact same but this time mount behind the tint band....

if you drive passed the position of the previous alert without the v1 going you an alert then you know the tint band affects radar performance.

if it doesnt beep keep driving towards the sensor until it starts to give you an alert then you can work out just how much feet etc the tint band is knocking off your detection time!
