How do you do a factory reset? I really doubt the leo was using instant on, but that is one possibity. My pro 73 has not given me a warning anywhere close to 3 miles, in fact not even half a mile. If i had to guess I would say no more than 250 feet.

I believe you unplug the unit, then plug it in again while holding down power and quiet. Something like that. It's in the instructions.

If you know of any of those "Your Speed Is" signs, try testing it against those. I get about a mile on those, but they are a weaker signal than a standard radar gun. If you don't get a halfway decent alert on that, then return the unit.

Falses are a part of the Whistler's performance. They choose to have it alert first, then filter after that. Provides quicker reaction time. Most of my alerts last no more than 2-3 beeps.

Especially true with quick-triggered radar, which behave much like Cobra Ka falses... this is why when QT is tested even some big-name detectors fail to reliably alert.

coming home and got a alert from around corner and followed an unmarked he was going sixty down a thirty with his constant on so i was getting like a 6-7 hit constant at 2 tenths of a mile away.
