Default Just got my Whister Pro 78 today...

The unit looks great and it's really loud. I didn't have a chance to drive today and test it out. I tried to set off the laser w/ a few different TV remote controls but none of them worked. Wonder if the unit even works. I mounted it under my rearview to the left. Do you guys think the position of the RD is OK?

Looks awesome...exactly where mine is mounted!

Looks like you may have gotten the larger suction cups with yours??

I think the suction cups may be the small ones only because they are less than an inch in diameter. So far it's sticking so no complaints. Just wondering, did your box come factory sealed with plastic or anything or did it just come closed?

yeah sounds like you got the small ones too. Mine stick fine, but the unit does tend to bounce and vibrate a little, which could probably be fixed using larger suction cups that would support the bracket a bit more.

My package just came closed, no factory sealed plastic wrap.

HappyA$$, I can see that you're a RD pro. I'm a novice. Is it possible to set off laser w/ a TV remote control? I'm just dying to set the damn unit off, but can't find any shooters at around here.

rks forgot to ask...did yours come sealed in plastic? I'm hoping mine isn't the only one that came unwrapped!

Hi dmo. Don't worry, mine came exactly like yours, closed in the box. The reason I asked was because someone selling it on fleebay claimed it was "factory sealed". I think that fleebay person is full of cr@p.

Trust me it will alert to laser when you encounter it. I have had many laser saves with whistler. Use a leveler bubble when mounting it under your rear view mirror. I will try contacting Micheal B about the bigger suction cups. Hopefully whistler would be able to support selling just the bigger suction cups.
