Default Dual radar antenna configuration (PRO-78+PRO-73)

Would it be practical to run my 78 on the front windshield (facing forward) and my 73 on my rear windshield (facing aft) to get dual radar antenna coverage? The two would have two different sets of tones (allowing me to distinguish front from rear).

However, I know it's a big no-no to run two detectors in the same car due to interference issues. With the large distance between the two detectors, would it still be an issue? If so, how large of a distance is needed to avoid interference? Any input or suggestions is appreciated, thanks!

Yes. I've done the same thing and the PRO78 alerts to the PRO73 on Ka-band only when I press a button on the PRO73 (change volume or go into menu, etc) and likewise the other way around. However, I found that if I moved it further away (and back), they no longer alerted to each other.

I think it would be great if we could have forward and rear coverage (like the V1). Although I think that Whistler will eventually move towards more features (such as dual antenna, LED arrows?, and frequency spec), I'm just looking for a creative way to utilize both detectors.

Hmm, what about a minivan's length apart? I'm thinking on my next long trip to mount a 1793 on the back window of our minivan, and a xtr-690 up front (if I get one by then) -- I'd imagine this distance is better than running both on the windshield, and afford me better rear protection and an extra pair of laser eyes.
