Buying the Whistler PRO-78 with latest firmware revison

I'm in the UK and considering buying the PRO-78 brand-new and sealed from a U.S. ebay seller for $160 plus shipping.

The review is very impressive and I've become sick of seeing the ?LO1-CAL message on various Bel detectors I've owned.

I intend asking the seller which firmware version it's running. Is it noted on the packaging somewhere without him having to open it up?

As far as I know, there is still currently only one shipping firmware revision to the Pro-78 (the new firmware is not released yet).

The revision can be retrieved by powering on the detector with the CITY button held, but I don't think there's anything on the label about it.

Bottom line, there is only one Pro-78 out there right now; if it says Pro-78 then it's all the same

Thanks for that. Maybe I should hold-off my purchase for a few weeks or so. Obviously I don't want to be sending it all the way back over the pond for a firmware update.
