    Default Roy's second Pro-78 review

    http://www.radarroy.com/archives/196

Roy recently did a real-world-driving review of the Pro-78 and it was quite positive. Select quotes:

Being a veteran “Fireballer” where a quality radar detector is of upmost importantance to avoid hefty speeding fines, I would classify the Whistler Pro 78 as being one of the only radar detectors costing less than $200.00 that I would ever consider using in my own car.
The Pro 78 is a great value for the price and I feel that it will be one of my top picks when I complete the entire review in the coming weeks.

Ya but i don't understand why just a 3 star badge rating when his first review was 4 star with no REV C. I had 2 Instant on encounters Ka 34.7
with my pro 78 lastnight at least 2 miles with Rev c. State troopers were hiding in the medians.

This review doesn't cover Rev C either AFAIK. I think the rating is appropriate given the class of the detector, and it's on a different scale from the previous one based solely on controlled testing.

Well let's see how he rates the other big contenders (i.e. the Bels) before drawing final conclusions on the rating scale.

Roy's reviews are 100% honest. Kinda like how he told us the Stalker LZ-1 didn't give any E-04 error codes on his Blinder M-40 when he tested it on his truck. He even had a picture of his 'testimonial' to boot. Good stuff.
