Whistler pro78= cobra= garbage

For the money it is a hell of a deal. If you can buy it for under $125 then they come no better. It is a BUDGET RD. Not everyone can afford to pay $400. If you are trying to compare it to a V1 in terms of sensitivity then forget about it.

Ok then sell it and get the one you like OR send it to Mike B. so he can take a look at it. I will be the first one to admit that we have some hard core Whistler fans that try and make the Pro 78 be more than what it is. The bottom line is that the Pro 78 is a budget RD nothing more but at the same time in the real world I have had great success using MY Pro 78. I still use it. It is part of my arsenal

sorry i am not a V1 fans,i only see the fact.The result form the radar test tell everything very clear,Pro 78 is just a little bit better performance then cobra and far away behind the order RD.And the 3 years warranty i think is a joke.Because no one will use this junk for more then 3 months,so why we need 3 years warranty.I received pro 78 for 20 days,but i already kept it under my bed to collect dust.So Whistler's fans pls wake up and see the fact then u will know what u are using is as same as a cobra RD!

Even V1 and other top detector users here get tickets from time to time. Having the best detector still doesn't make you ticket proof.

Did you really expect a radar detector to save you from a ticket? If the cop plays his hand right, not even the V1 will save you.

Concerning the Pro-78, for its category, its pretty dam good. More consistent than a Cobra. I barely hear any complaints about it. It isn't a V1 or higher end detector, but its detection capabilities are impressive. If happya$$ is pleased with it, then what are you griping about?

I use it religiously and have no qualms about it. On all bands detection is adequate for the light to moderate speeders. Whistler did a great job of building this detector.

Seriously, Whistler is a good alternative for the budget minded. And they are dam well getting their money's worth.

I am sure you have heard the saying that a radar detector is NOT a license to speed.

The tests are not with Rev C POP off. This adds quite a bit of range... Also, look at march tests for a more real world scenario.

I have had 2 mile Ka saves....
