I made some pics of my mount of my pro 78 with MEM-TEK's idea of 3M super lock fasteners from radio shack. I'm not sure how to post pics on here.

I have had the 3m fasteners for 7 months problem free but i choose to replace them every six months.

Word, cus I got a black car with black interior and that velcro crap that came with my VR-3 rearview camera was always falling off, I don't even use the camera so I just uninstalled it and took the velcro crap off. Now I gotta find a way to clean that sticky crap off the dash. Ugh.

Nice mount, I too am curious to see how it holds up since I need to do something about my suction cups. I always use alcohol to remove the left over glue.

I had my V1 mounted in my car like this for a year, and another car for 6 months before I had the GTO. No problems.

I had the antenna of my MV-724 mounted in an ungaraged car for more than six years in the extreme cold and hot. When a punk ran a red light and totaled my car, I had to pry the antenna from the windshield to remove it. That being said, I'll bet Superlock will outlast your RD. Today I use Superlock to mount a universal bracket that holds all my radar antennas (one at a time, of course). I think Superlock is excellent.
