    Default New xtr-695

I just received my own xtr-695 and was driving around doing some testing and noticed it doesn't false on K-band doors as much as my 9500i does..Is this because of a problem or better filtering...It didn't even go crazy when pointed directly at the door like my 9500i did..Just wondering if I got a defect.

Sweet I wonder when I'll receive my new replacement

Edit: As for the falsing Whistler has some sort of technology to ignore door openers until they drift off frequency, it does excellent on REAL encounters though.

its pretty normal. my 690 does very well on real K police and thankfully keeps quiet on k doors.

The Whistler is significantly less sensitive to K band than is the 9500i. There's probably more factors, but that's probably the biggest reason.

Perhaps, it still gives you way more then enough time on C/O K tho.

I hope it was not a waste of money! Even at the cost I get them for if it isn't good at detection it isn't worth the money.

You can rest assured the 695 is a solid performer. I have a 9500ix and the 695 is always within a few seconds in alerting me compared to the 9500ix.

Its funny you mention k band sources. Because there is a k band speed sign near my house and the 695 alerts a good 75 feet before my 9500ix. Now there are trees all down the center of the median and I don't know if the 9500 has problems grabbing that signal until a certain point or what. All I know is the 695 does not.

For the money it can't be beat. I had a V1 and got rid of it. Detection was great but it ghosted like no other. Now I have the 9500ix and really like it as a whole.

And I can honestly say that with the 695 compared to the V1 and 9500ix, that I have been at no disadvanatge. No it does not alert as far out as the V1 or 9500IX in alot of instances but its always within a few seconds. And it still gives you ample time to slow down, unless its laser or i/o then all bets are off.

I think once you get some seat time with it you will love it considering how easy it is on the pocket book.

Its normal i have a 78 and it filters K band doors very well. Some K band are very weak. Stanley sensors are very nice. They are mostly being used ! Wal-mart has them. It does good detecting
K band as i had 3 saves in very hilly evil terrain in NM with C/O K with over a mile in detection.

    Regalized,

My XTR695 always lags my RX65 and V995 by 4 to 5 seconds average on 3 K band speed signs. So your XTR695 may be hotter than mine.
