What's the Deal With the Pro-68?

Hi All,

I recently came across the Whistler Pro 68 and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it? The price varies, but it's roughly in the $80 range, which is almost nothing.

Is it the same RD as the Pro-78 ( a great one), only difference being, a numeric icon display, as opposed to a LED display? If so, then it seems to be a great value.

The Pro68 is essentially the same as a Pro58 that has had a cosmetic change with some firmware upgrades to improve filtering and a slight increase in sensitivity. I purchased one for for my son and he has had some good alerts with it.

Cliff i believe its the same platform as the pro 73..Look in to the new Pro 78 SE coming out in 2-3 months or the 690.

Good advice here. I would go with a Pro 78 or wait for and go with the new Pro78 SE. I am impressed with the 78 but decided to go with the XTR 695 - basicaly the same as a Pro 78 but with a backlit text display and with a compass built in. But I do like the blue LED display on the 78!

How would you compare performance wise Pro-68 with Whistler XTR-575?

The Pro68 will more than likely perform slightly better than the XTR575.
