Default 2 miles of K band speed sign trailer detection (video)

The radar alerts dropped a few times due to the various hills and maybe other vehicles blocking the radar signals along this straight road. I pulled into that first gas station to make sure there wasn't a K band microwave automatic door sensor. I was using Filter 2 setting in this video and I also tried using the default Filter setting on a consequent run, but it did not increase the detection distance.

Only viewed about 20 sec. because of my slow dial-up but from what i've seen it looks like you got a decent detection distance. What was the estimated distance from first beep to the sign?

By the way thats a cool navigation map! Is it OEM?

It was just a bit over 2 miles from the initial alert.

Yeah, it's Honda OEM navigation, but I think the hardware or the software(or both) are from Alpine Electronics.

    I think 2:09-3:48 was K band trailer...
how can u say earlier K band alert was from this K band trailer and not from off axis(K band door,or other crossstreet K band sign..etc?)

I drive that road 5 days a week to and from my kid's school, so I know. I drove into that first gas station just to prove that it couldn't be from that place and there are no other business around there that could emit any type of K band signals. Mostly residential around there. The only other possible K band signal along that section of the road is at the Chevron gas station 2:55 into the video. That Chevron has a weak K band automatic door sensor.
