690 SE problems?

new 690SE freaks out and says "powr off" IIRC it was or something to that effect randomly.

ive tried different cords, different cars, etc. itll just go completely ape**** and tell me on the screen to shut it off.

ive also had it freak out and just start blasting a reading over and over, with nothing around, almost on a timed cycle, blaring a reading, then nothing, then blasting, then nothing.

bad software? somehow it has been corrupted?

at this point i trust my old detector more than this one. its been doing this over a period of several months. along with the LED stuck on behavior after start-up.

Sounds like a inside problem ! Mike B will make your RD new again. The SE has been a great RD for me. The Pro 73 was a great RD when i owned it also.
