Pro 78se video 34.7Ka 5/28/2010

A 34.7 Ka band police radar detection on I-405 (Just south of the Getty Center) in Los Angeles. The initial detection was about 5-10 seconds prior to the start of this video coming around a small bend in the freeway. The Leo was sitting by the on ramp to the left (Look hard to the left through all the vehicles driving past about 26-30 seconds into the video).

The settings were X-OFF, K-OFF, Ka-MaxID, LSR-LSID, SR-ON, POP-OFF and Filter. I did a reset this morning and saw a very brief none RSID Ka9 alert about 5 minutes before this radar encounter. I did not see any other Ka false alert for the rest of the 90 miles drive I did.

OK i did something i rarely do here, that is download videos! Took just about a half hour to download that 1st 36 sec. video Dam slow dialup!

That encounter in freeway traffic is similar to what i've experienced also with my 78SE.
I don't care what anyone here says, "dam the torpedoes", ugh i mean dam the Ka falses!

Ouch, that's painful. I'm already going crazy because I'm only getting about 0.5 Mbps of download/upload speed from the hotel's WiFi connection.

Ok. Those laser alerts have to be from the aiport or from another "false". From the start of your video to about :45, you are totally out of the line of sight for the cop.

at :57, you pass the cop with a laser alert but it looks like he is looking down at a clipboard.

Mikeslc wasn't saying the laser alerts were from the cop. They were from the airports wind shear sensors. He was just making a point by showing a cop at the airport while he was videotaping the alerts.

Ahh.....ok. I thought that was the case. Man, those laser alerts are crrraazzzyy. Has anyone else driven through there with other detectors...and are the results the same?
