XTR-695SE 'ka PULSE'?

Every once in a while I will be driving and the 695se will alert 'Ka Pulse', but I am not too sure what this alert means exactly. I have only seen one legitimate threat when this alert has been displayed, could it be a passing cobra? It's happened about 3 times.

PULSE is what happens when a strong signal is received given no prior alerts within 20 seconds.

If you shut POP OFF, it will disable the PULSE alerts and increase the Ka sensitivity a bit.

I don't get this from my XTR-695SE but I do get it from an XTR-590. But POP is off on the 695SE and on for the 590. I'll try turing POP off for the 590.
