Trouble mounting XTR-695SE

I'm trying to mount the XTR-695SE onto my windshield, but the suction cups are giving me trouble. They're overlapping so I can't effectively use both of them. I've tried adjusting the suction cups but nothing is working. There's just not enough space.

Welcome to the forum.

You should be able to bend and stretch them a little so they don't overlap.

I'll try it again tomorrow. I think what I'll do is put one on the windshield first and then pull the over one over. I tested it on my desk.

Have you tried bendng the metal backets that hold the suction cups? You can bend it to adjust the distance between the cups.

1. Don't speed by yourself.

2. Use a rabbit (car in front of you).

3. Read this forum.

Do those 3 things, and you will very quickly learn how to effectively use your RD and its limitations....

Be aware of possible laser use!

Should I mount it high by the RVM or low near the dash? I'm not gonna hardwire it so the cord might be a problem.

If you are not concerned with laser, then mount high
If you are concerned with laser, you may want to mount low but best tactic against Laser is a jammer

I set the display color to give me light green for X, Blue for K, purple for Ka, and red for Laser
