Interesting. I wonder if the rear antenna can provide directional alerts or just increased sensitivity to the rear.

VR says they can't make a remote mount because it's important that the antennas be at a consistent distance apart from each other, so I think part of the way it works is comparing the phase of the two signals and not just the strength.

I've never even thought of running a remote mount on top of a vehicle, but that would be awesome... Best possible performance and less risk of damage from road crap.

I guess you have a roof rack to mount it to?
