Xtr-693se?

I was at Wal-Mart tonight and saw a Whistler 693SE for $150.00. It had the red display of the 690SE and all of the features of the 690SE. I have never seen this detector anywhere and couldn't find it on Whistlers website. Has anyone else seen these? Maybe it's a re-branded 690SE?

Hey Ed, you must have a 'high-end' Walmart there! The only RDers at my local WallyMarts are the sub $100 jobs mostly Cobras.
In fact one local WallyWorld here displays Whistlers for a month or so then there off the shelf along with the Cobras and they're all back on the shelf again in another month. Strange!

A 690SE type Whistler assuming it has Ka-max is a fair deal for $150 even if it comes in a F$%^'n bubble pack.

Yeah, the Wal-Mart here always carries Whistler's so I guess I am lucky

I am wondering if my eyes were playing tricks on me because I can not find an XTR-693SE anywhere online. I am tempted to go back again just to check but I'm afraid I might end up buying the damn thing...$150.00 is a good deal. The detector had Ka-max..voltmeter, etc....the same exact features of a 690SE. I don't need a 690SE but I really WANT one!

693SE? I cannot find anything on that either, maybe Walmart 'accidentally' bought some RD knock-offs from China?

It is not a knock off. It a Whistler unit model for Walmart

Is this a re-badged 690SE? If so I am going to go out and grab one before they are gone. That's really a great price.

Wow didn't know Whistler had a Walmart only model. The only RD's I saw at my local Walmart were a bunch of POS cobras. In the past all the Walmarts in CT carried both Whistler and Cobra products, but they seemed to have completely switched to cobra. I bought my Whistler 1734, 1730, and 1765 at Walmart.

Well, just got back...I bought the 693SE.

It's definitely a re-badged 690SE...came with the same manual as the 690SE\695SE. The detector also came with a hardwire kit and non-slip dash pad. Not too shabby for $150.00!
