Just picked up a 695se

Hey guys just picked myself up a brand new 695se got a question or two...

1. It comes standard with POP mode on...should i turn this off i've heard that it hurts the range of the detector.

2. Whats up with all these tests and reviews on range and what not they suck, but it seems like it's pretty sensitive, with the bushnell at least. Can't wait to see some 35.5 off axis stuff.

as i read on this forum some of this is already talked about sorry bout the repeats, not really surfed the whistler section!

Run with pop off, you'll get better overall performance and less false alarms. Also, the XTR-695se has great range KA band range, solid K band range, and great QT and Instant on performance. Overall a great RD.

While you're at it, also turn SWS off, its useless! I'd also recommend running 'Highway' with X-band ENabled in the menu to prevent the infamous X-K confusion if you got a lot of X-band in your area. And run KaMaxRSID. Just my opinion.

Yeah these SE detectors are sensitive enough for most, especially considering what they cost. Don't know why they get some bad press!!
