Default Whistler 3600 Laser Remote Module

Does anyone know if the Remote Laser Module (LRM-360) is weather proof? I am getting a 3600 and will probably mount the front sensor above the RVM. At $25-$30 I might buy the remote laser module and place it near the front plate if it can handle it. I know, by the time it goes off it is too late, but can't afford the LI's yet.

    The LRM-360 is not waterproof.

You do not need an extra laser module at your front plate as the 3600 antenna head has a laser receiver built into it.

So what is the normal use for it? Place it on the inside of the windshield when the front sensor is mounted at the grill or behind the bumper?

Yes, if the antenna cannot be mounted with a clear view of the road, the LRM-360 would need to be purchased and attached to the inside windshield

    Thanks,
Guess I will just save the $30 and maybe put it towards the GPS Module.

    Good idea:
Either putting it towards a GPS module, Rear-Antenna, or (if laser is a concern) a laser jammer would be money well spent.

The rear ant is coming with the main unit. The ability to show which direction the threat is coming from is a huge selling point for me.

The rear antenna is purchased seperately and does not come packaged with the main unit.

Just to be clear. What exactly is waterproof?
I am looking to purchase this unit and mounting it on a 99 civic lx probably near the license plate. I would be putting the laser/radar sensors outside the cabin so as to maximize the sensitivity, however now I am wondering if these are even weather proof.
