Still spatting out conjecture I see. What background do you have with the particular Whistler platform in question to empirically prove your assertions?

I have never come across a study indicating who will and who will not install an item based upon the item price.
Either the customer has the tools and skills or does not and I do not see where the price of the unit dictates the customers abilities to install a remote detector.

Guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this one.
Either way I put the system in or pay somebody won't be a low end system!!!

Yes I own low end zr3's I know that's going to be said from somebody They was put on before I knew of other choices!!!!

I'd put my S7 up against your M4 any day of the week. You're just pissed because you paid toooo much for it. Haha. And my 195 would alert when your 9500 would not. And IF I were a LEO, my piece of sh1t Kustoms would OWN YOUR ASS BIG TIME!!!!

And for that matter, my even bigger piece of sh1t Muni-quip would SMOKE YOUR ASS!

The Thread starer was looking into geting a 3600 and wanted to know more from members that purchased one.

Comments saying you would not own a remote does not help this member. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion but lets keep the theads constructive.

Maybe they had a dash model in the past and no longer wants anything on the dashboard.
Maybe they bought a new car and wants to install something different
Maybe they do not have $600 to $1200 to buy a remote of another brand.
Maybe they have the skills and tools to install.

My first radar detector was a remote back in 1980 and remained in the car when I sold it.
Since 1983 then I have had dash models because they were easy to move from vehicle to vehicle and I have used dash models right up thru 2010.
I installed the Pro3600 recently and I cannot be happier.
I have cleared the dash area of the detector, tossed my dash mount GPS as my Sprint phone has GPS nav on it, and the truck feels new again.

Sorry Mike. And rd.net needs to be re-named as pissinmatch.net. And I will admit I'm just as guilty as anyone.

I appreciate your perspective and honest feedback. Many of us look forward to reviews of the 360 to get a better feeling for the performance.

This is one crazy a$$ post, if you've seen what whistler's are capable off...just look on youtube. If you see what you like, then the 3600 is no different except being mounted outside the car and the capability off having rear protection with indicators of the position of the threat, then buy it!!!! great unit. If you don't need that then look for something different!

But only a true dick head would do that!
