If you had POP ON it was probably from Leaky Rd's.

These were county Highways going to my dads, this 1 stretch is about 3 miles and I was the only 1 on the road at the time, It still stumps me, same spot every time on the road, it does it like 3 or 4 times along that stretch

Update, Most of the ka9 falsing in our area is coming from cell towers. I am hoping Veilguy can bring a camcorder on his trip so we can shoot some action. This could be the source of a lot of the ka9 falses experienced in other areas also cause these are the simularities I am seeing.

Heavy traffic means more ka falses due to I feel busy cell towers
lighter traffic causes less ka9 falses I feel due to less users on the cell towers
Towers are located all along freeways and in cities where most ka9 falsing occurs
Cell towers In my area cause ka9 falses from 1-5 seconds on average and occur every few minutes when within 100 yards of the source.

My dad has the 690se right in the middle of his window, and for some reason he gets Ka9 Falses randomly. He bought it right from a legit website. And has saves with it so it is in good working condition. But I heard the 693se gets rid of some of those problems. But i might be wrong

If I am correct they are the same unit, 693se is Whistler/Walmart version of the 690se. Michael B, (Whistler Rep) could correct me if I am wrong

I'm pretty sure its a re-badged 690SE and made just for Walmart.

So it's cell phone towers.......or satellite dishes........or railway crossings......or all the above. I think the question is, WHAT can Michael B. do about it?

I think the issue goes back to the selection of IF and or 2nd LOs used in the Whistler as Michael himself has already alluded to. We do not know what frequencies those towers are transmitting at, but Michael absolutely knows what his IF and LO frequencies are.

Are we talking band pass filters in the front end or a complete redesign needed to fix this Michael?

I believe a lot of it is cell towers in our area, and I hope in other areas it is also cell towers, but in no way am I saying this is all that is causing it. I think if Michael can stop the cell towers it will be a major improvement.
