Some towers emit Ka 34.7 and 33.8 in New Mexico. The Pro 78 non SE did not false much at all. I think most of the problem has to do with Ka max and Mike B only knows the inside of Ka max.

How tall are the towers causing falses in your areas (in the city)? Jag didnt you have some videos of those towers in NM?

The cell phone towers near me are in Johnston, Rhode Island. I gotta say they are way up there, maybe around 150-200 feet high
I don't have videos of towers in NM. I am driving around 1,000 miles July 4th and i will take the Whistler SE with me through Dallas/Ft.worth and it will go ape sh$t on Ka falses down i-20. I know there is at least a dozen cell towers. The towers in NM are about 100 miles away and there is 2 towers there that are really bad leaky source. One tower emits on Ka 33.8 for miles through the city and the other tower emits Ka 34.7. There is also a large group of towers before the NM/Tx state line that emit ka9 and Ka 34.7 falses.
Towers in my downtown area show no KA-RSID. Some cell towers in NM emit K and x band for 10 miles or so on Highway 84 going up to Santa Rosa NM.
I have experienced those on I20 through Dallas Ft Worth, painful. Imagine that in a good part of your daily drive area and you will understand what we experience here in our area. Thats what made me send mine to you, I could not use it here.
From reading this thread it almost seems to imply that the false alerts are the norm and not the exception. I am curious how common these problems are. For example I run my 690SE all over my city every day with X and K off, Ka Max ID and Laser on, highway mode and the default filter. My detector is utterly silent unless I come up on a photo radar or police cruiser. In fact I often even forget it is there until it goes off. Maybe I don't go near cell towers in my travels.
